Golf is my life. My three main objectives in the game are to play competitively at a high level, help others through my instruction, and form lasting relationships through the game.

The GamePlan

In order to succeed in any area of life, there needs to be some sort of plan.

Want to get in shape? Diet and Exercise Plans are the most effective way to get it done.

Want to start a business? You need to create a Business Plan to be successful.

So why continue to “practice” your golf without a GamePlan? Playing competitive golf since 2002, professionally since 2011, I’ve been on plenty of driving ranges and have noticed too many poor practicing habits, or any practice habits for that matter. Most people just dragging and hitting their next ball before the prior even finishes rolling out.

If you pride yourself on hitting 200 balls when you go to the range (unless it takes you around 2.5 hours to hit this many golf balls), I’d refer to it as exercise: NOT practice.

Quality over Quantity

When it comes to practice, I often hear this common phrase, “I just don’t have the time it takes to get better.” This simply couldn’t be further from the truth. If you want to succeed at anything, or want something bad enough, you WILL make time for it.

You may not have 6-8 hours a day to practice/play and have the time it takes to become an elite level player. If you have time to go to the driving range once or twice a week, and the commitment level to keep track of your practice sessions and stats from your rounds, you HAVE THE TIME!

All you need is the right instruction and a GamePlan to improve. It’s not about trying to hit as many balls as you can in the 30-60 minutes you have during or after work. You must make EVERY BALL COUNT when you are the practice range.

I’ve always said, “I’d rather my students go to the range and hit 30 balls with a purpose, rather than hit 100 balls with constantly changing thoughts and no direction.”

Change the QUALITY of your practice, not the QUANTITY, and you, too, can change your game!
